We’re beginning to look a lot like Christie’s New Jersey

Did you see this piece in the Baltimore Sun from Our Maryland Board Chair, Larry Ottinger? In it, Larry discusses the unnervingly similar personalities and policies shared by Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Called “two peas in a pod,” these men share more than just a friendship. Both have used bullying tactics and backroom dealings to undercut public education, shortchange working class families, and triumph fossil-fueled industry over a cleaner, greener economy.

The policies that these two “kindred spirits” promote are bad for New Jersey, and they’re bad for Maryland. New Jersey made the mistake of re-electing Chris Christie, and things got even worse during his second term. Together, we can set Maryland on a different course.
